Are the funds paid onto the cards taxed?
Depending on the legal basis for the transfer, funds paid onto smartCard cards are either already taxed or the tax obligation lies with the recipient. Contact us to find out which basis applies to your company.
How can the funds on the cards be used?
In three ways: withdrawing cash from ATMs worldwide, paying online, and paying at card terminals in stores.
Are there any restrictions or limits on the cards?
There is no annual limit on how much can be paid onto a card. High daily limits apply to cash and card transactions.
How long does it take to implement smartCard?
Usually 4–6 weeks. It depends on the level of automation required, platform customisation and the number of cards ordered at launch.
